• Christchurch The legendary Andy Balcar is having a sabbatical break in 2011. We are looking for a person with practical experience in youth work and education experience who is interested in working with Praxis part time to create amazing learning experiences for a talented group of first year Cantab students in 2011. • Wellington TOHU operates as a partnership project between the National Youth Workers Network, the Social Services ITO and seven local youth workers networks around the country to deliver the National Diploma in Youth Work as an ‘in service training’ option for experienced youth workers. We are looking for a person to join our team, initially to help with assessment, and the co-ordination of workshops, and in time developing a wider co-ordination role for the project. This starts as a part time job for an experienced youth worker who would like an interesting and flexible role in an exciting new project. Contact Lloyd@praxis.org.nz to have a chat.

• Part time work Are you looking for a flexible job that you can fit around family or study? With over 200 students to manage in ten countries we need some help with admin and data entry in the Wellington office. We are looking for a reliable person with good computer skills who could come in a couple of times a week for a few hours at a time. Interested in a Career in Youth Work

East Taieri Church, Mosgiel, Dunedin is seeking applications from people who would be interested in being a Praxis Intern. This is a one year internship where the person sits the Certificate in Youth Work offered by Praxis and also works alongside our three permanent Youth Workers three days a week to gain practical experience.

Our goal is to assist people to become trained Youth Workers within the Presbyterian Church.

You will be expected to:

Display a strong faith.

Work as part of a team.

Complete the Modules of the Praxis Course.

Be available at the end of 2011 for Youth Work positions within the wider Presbyterian Church.

We would provide:

Funding of course fees and as funding allows assist with travel and accommodation to attend block courses.

Student Allowance is available depending on individual circumstances

Part-time Youth Pastor/Worker Wanted

Auckland Central: 20 hours/week.

The Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church (ACPC) seeks a youth pastor/worker to establish and maintain ministry to, with, and for its Youth, their families, & the community. Youth Pastor will work with the Minister/Cantonese/English Ministry Leadership Teams and Parish Council building on current networks within the Congregation and establishing networks outside the Congregation and within the wider Church. The majority of our youth are from the English speaking congregation which we expect will occupy most of the ministry however that does not preclude working with the youth of the other congregations.
